I've never heard of The Three Silly Girls Grubb. I checked it out at Amazon and can't wait to read it to my class when we do our fairy tales week.

Be careful using Giraffe for G... especially if you're teaching sounds! I've always thought G/J, C/K, and S/Z are the hardest letters to teach!

I did a brief search and found this one song!

G Song - sung to "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"

When I look around I see
Many things that start with G.
I see grass and girls galore,
I see gloves and so much more.
Won't you look around with me
And sing for things that start with G!?

Repeat, substituting other words that begin with G for the words "grass," "girls" and "gloves." Have pictures of G items on hand while you sing the song.

Or, the song here teaches the soft/long g! That might be good to show the difference between the g in girl and the g in giraffe!
