- The new school year and Girl Scouts have kicked my butt this week.
- Big ideas in the kidlitosphere have kept everyone busy.
- I started pulling together the list and was surprised that some books were not on it including one HUGE book. HUGE.

I’m extending the deadline for submitting your choices for the Best Books of 2007 (So Far). Why?

Gee, what HUGE book could you be talking about? LOL
No, it's not that one. I would have called that MEGA HUGE. Keep guessing.
(though HP was only mentioned once. suprised? I was.)
MR,
I'm glad you extended the deadline. I've been meaning to leave a comment with the URL to a July post I did at Wild Rose Reader about my favorite children's poetry books of 2007. The post also includes links to my reviews of the books at WRR and at Blue Rose Girls.

Hugo Cabret?
Ack! Can you believe most of the books I really liked are from 2006 and earlier? Still sifting.
Did I make it on time?
It was too hard to think of five, but these three were head and shoulders the most bestest YA books of 2007 that I've read so far:
The Plain Janes by Cecil Castellucci and Jim Rugg
Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale
Betwixt by Tara Bray Smith
