(Don’t you like how I slipped in our vacation summary? I said I would, hadn’t done it, but covered it now. I rock.)
So anyway, when I was tagged for this song meme by Big A, little a, I knew I would have to leave some time to do it right. Contrary to popular belief, I do not have a mind like a steel trap. More like a steel colander. I had to look up more than half of the songs on iTunes and some of them I still didn’t recognize.
After my husband got hold of my post (and somehow messed up the coding thanks, honey), he then felt compelled to add the links to the iTunes Store. Oh, if only we could use our thorough, obsessive nature for house-cleaning, or say, real estate investment.
Here’s my key to the song titles:

God, you should see my house right now, MR. I could be arrested or at least taken away to an asylum.
Cute picture!! And I can't believe you have that awful "You don't have to take your clothes off" song on your list.
Thanks for playing :)
No! No! Red means BAD in my list.
Actually, funny story, when Bill went to do something in my post all of my carefully contructed coding disappeared. Hilarious! He then decided what my new colors would be and then I had to remember as I re-coded it, "Loved it. That's red. No! Green." It was like being in a a Lethal Weapon movie, except with text instead of bomb wires.
(I have to wonder how many people will notice I've posted a family picture for the first time ever. Might as well mention now that 1. my hair is usually not that slicked back and 2. I usually position a kid in front of me for photos.)
You hated Kiss, MR? And Nasty? Really? Oh, dear. On the other hand, I am with you on Manic Monday and Walk This Way. And I loved Simply Red. Mick could sing, right?
What is it about this list? I stayed up late, looking them all up on YouTube.
Oh, my. I just took a quick glance at my year.
Oh, my.
Niagara Falls rocks. I've always lived about an hour and a half away, so I've been there approximately two million times, and staring at those falls never, ever gets old. I love standing near the place on the Canadian side where the water just goes over. It's all transparent and very powerful. I also very much love the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds. (Every time I'm on the Maid, I'm always like, "This is as close as they go, right? No, *this* is as close. Okay, this then. No? Oh, this." I always think that maybe this is the time the ship's operator has decided to end it all, and then the ship turns away. Spectacular.)
Sounds like your kids will have a nice memory of Niagara Falls. Our boys like to bring up the HUGE fight we had getting lost on the way there. Nice.
Oh, MR, your girls are beautiful, and from the picture and looks like you had loads of fun. I have stood on that same spot on the American side more times than I can remember. I never tire of taking folks to see the falls.
God bless you for hating "Sara." I can't tell you how many nitwits in the 80's would burst into song when I told them my name.
Great family photo! Ahh...now there's my Jon Bon Jovi. Now I can be happy and forget the horrible music video of Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love.
Look at that family! Woo hoo! Gaw-jus.
P.S. I hope to post my best-picture-books-thus-far list this week -- as well as start that Mo tri-review.
Ah, 80s music. Brings back memories...
I'll second susan's shock about Prince's Kiss... it's my favorite Prince song (next to 1999, of course.). But I agree with a few of the other ones. I still have Who's Johnny floating around in my brain, and it's still just as annoying.
Hey! You're a guest star in today's Children's Books that Never Were post on Saints and Spinners.
You have the sweetest looking family. And you all look so happy and not the least bit exhausted! Vacation pros!
Thanks for trusting us with the first family photo ever. It's an honor.
P.S. That compliment about the sweet-looking family includes you, too.
Ditto what Sarah said. And they had the nerve to spell it like I do, too.
