105 Ways to Give a Book

Gotta Keep Reading

I’ve been seeing this video all over, but hadn’t slowed down to actually watch it. But this morning I did, and it actually made me a little bit teary. Not because it’s sad or even that explicitly moving, but because these kids will remember making this video for a long, long time, and I’m inspired that there are teachers and principals who would take the time to create an experience that just might make a difference.

YES. That's exactly why it cheered me right up. This is the other video that made me happy like that. They will not soon forget how they took pride in their accomplishments.

I know - I thought about how much work it was to coordinate all the kids and teach them the dance and get them all out there together. It makes me feel good.

M watched the video this morning and the first thing she said was "I want to go to THAT middle school."

Just watched this tonight, it is so great to see kids celebrating the joy of reading like this!

AMAZING! As Abby said, I'm blown away that they got all the kids that coordinated to begin with (I, personally, would be the one to mess it all up). I came into work exhausted this morning, now i feel up and ready to go be a librarian:) Once again, you are going to have me sending everyone to your site!

Posted this one last week and showed it to everyone at school. To think an entire middle school participated in this. Loved it.
