105 Ways to Give a Book

Comment Challenge: Last Chance Check-In

In the great words of Bluto, “Over? Did you say over? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! And it ain’t over now.”

I’ve come to realize that putting the Comment Challenge Final Check-In right before Thanksgiving may have caused some difficulty. I know this because I created a huge list of bloggers that signed up, and yet it is a not-so-huge list of bloggers that commented on the last post.

Therefore, I am adding a bonus week. If you’ve already reached your goal and checked in, sit back and relax. If you’ve checked in, hadn’t reached your goal and would like the extra five days, here they are. If you thought that it was too late to check in so you didn’t bother, now it’s not too late. If you haven’t checked in because you didn’t do as well as you’d hoped, well, check in anyway and tell about your experience. Perhaps what you have to say will be useful for future challenges.

On Saturday, I’ll announce the prize winners, with some winners drawn from all participants. Prizes will included signed books, bunches o’ books, and fun stuff. Oh, and one new thing! For each participant who signs in at the Comment Challenge Final Check-In, I’ll donate one dollar to Adam Rex’s Mustaches for Kids fundraiser.

How about an updated check-in? Or is that really pushing it? Hey, kids need mustaches.

Due to work and NaNo, I fell off the blogging wagon the final week or so of the Challenge. The goal, though, was to make commenting a habit, right?

Well, I'm just now catching up on missed reading, and by-gosh-by-golly, I'm commenting! Heck, I'm even commenting on week-plus-old posts if something pops into my head.

Here's to habits.

I checked in already, but I thought I'd drop another note. I seem to be recovering from Thanksgiving, catching up on laundry, housework and blogging. My commenting has really dropped, but I am committed to getting back into it.
