105 Ways to Give a Book

Proud Mother Presents...

I rarely even show my kids’ pictures on this blog, but I couldn’t resist sharing this video of my ten year old singing a solo in her school summer theatre program. I know I’m her mom, but her voice is truly amazing. I’ve watched this several times, and I keep getting choked up over her performance. Please watch so I can share this with you, my friends.

She's got star quality!! As someone who sang as a child, too, I know how difficult it is to have the kind of stage presence she exhibits. Very impressive. And what a sweet, lovely voice!

She's amazing! What a wonderful voice, and she really projects the emotion of the song.

Oh, WHOA! Listen to her just belt out those notes -- all the right shading and emotion. Lucky, lucky girl. I know you must have just been in an agony of happiness and pride and trying not to sob louder than she was singing.

Is that from The Little Princess? Gosh, I know you must be so proud. And I see you will be making costumes for high school musicals...

Beautiful! And what a hard song to sing. Go, MotherReader's daughter!!

The song is "Home" from the stage version of Beauty and the Beast. I probably should have said that. I'm so excited to share this video and to read your sweet comments.

What an awesome performance. Does she aspire to be an actress? Does she participate in community theater? I know the proud feeling you have as a parent seeing your child on stage. Way to go!!!

Bravo!! She has a beautiful voice.

On a funny note, I broke into this song when my hubby and I pulled into the driveway, getting back from our honeymoon. A good laugh was had by all. :)

Impressive. She's got a future, if she wants it. If she doesn't, then at least she has an amazing talent to share. You have every right to be proud. :)
