When you start your reading, sign in with Mr. Linky here. Keep track of your time which includes reading, blogging, and some connecting (as stated in the rules).
On Sunday, I’ll have a Finish Line post where you can leave the link to your final summary page. As a backup, link to the Finish Line post in your final summary.
Have fun, read well.

I won't start my 48 hours till tomorrow, but did post about the challenge: http://readspace.net/2009/06/summer-reading-48-hour-book-challenge/
I'll be starting about noon, with a LONG break this evening for a wedding. I probably won't be setting any records, but fun anyway!
Happy Reading, Everyone!
Oops...I magically listed myself twice!
Thanks MR, for sponsoring this event. I'm off to read some more.
Started a little bit ago. Off to work for awhile.

Started at noon. But know I wont be here for full challenge. So I'm unofficially participating. (Im using this as an excuse to read all day.)
Happy Reading!
And thanks for hosting the event. Hopefully next year I won't have such a full weekend!

Rebekah (a.k.a. "Adventures in Thought") -- Thanks for the heads-up; we were able to delete the duplicate entry (Mr. Linky is pretty easy that way)!
I'm not starting until 8 pm tonight - but I wanted to sign in now so I don't have to think about hauling out the laptop after dinner. All I wanna do is get in bed and read!
Hello! Just signing in to say I'm starting at 7 tonight.
Oops, posted my linky but forgot to sign in... sorry!
I started at 7 am on Friday 5 June 09. So far finished one 719 page book, onto the next
Here I go! I plan to walk to a diner for lunch and start my first book there.
The evil plan is to start at about 6:00 this evening. I'm VERY excited about being able to read for 48 hours if I want. I have convinced my family that it is work.
Just want to drop in to say I will be starting at 9pm tonight(after I finish with the Summer Reading Kickoff Party, starting the summer off with a bang!) I know I won't be setting any records, but this should be fun either way. Happy Reading!
Just started this morning with book thats been on my shelf for a few weeks-The Perks of being a Wallflower. Have Twizzlers and M&Ms and I'm ready to go.
Ohh, I started at 7pm on Friday (which is your 7am, I think).
All the best everyone!
Very handy to have all the fellow readers here with links! Starting now...
I have one looong book to read - we'll see how long it takes me to read it!
I am on the starting line and heading out for the long haul. Good reading to all!
Thanks for stopping by. I have to admit the idea of putting pics with the updates was my idea. I saw it posted in the 24 hour read a thons and thought it was a neat idea so i went with it.
How is everyone doing?
Starting in a few minutes!
I'm looking foward to some uninterrupted time to read.
I'm not seeing Mr. Linky, but am signing it for starting at 2pm on Friday!

Good luck to everyone! I won't be participating this year, but I'll definitely follow along.
I will be starting my 48 hours tomorrow morning.

I'm starting in less than an hour at 7pm/EST
Almost done with The Perks of Being a Wallflower, not sure how I feel about the book, more on that later. Going back to store for refill on twizzlers.
I love that the rules include "reading" one audio book. That means the fact that I have to work this weekend doesn't make a difference, I'll be able to read the whole time (barring, you know, my bosses actually wanting me to interact or something silly like that!)
I updated my blog with a starting post. I'll be actually starting around 11 p.m.
Cheering you all on. Happy reading, gang!
I wasn't going to do it, but I caved. I have a very nice TBR pile. Off to read now!
Starting at 6:30 on Friday! Have fun everybody!!!
I'm signing in, but not posting yet because I want to leave the Starting Line post at the top of the page for now. Starting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night.
Alright it's 8pm and I'm starting. I'm finishing Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler.
Starting at 8:15 pm Friday!
The excitement is contagious! I rushed through my work and chores and am going to start the clock at 9 p.m. Friday, just can't wait till tomorrow! http://readspace.net/2009/06/summer-reading-48-hour-book-challenge/
Just finished Perks of being a wallflower-Wow! Heavy read.I posted a review on my blog. www.mugofmoxie.blogspot.com Now starting on The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie.
need more caffine....
I'm laughing at myself because of how excited I am by this! I tried to nap before I started (so I'd need less sleep time), but was too excited!
You see, whenever I have a special day (Mother's Day, Birthday...), I think about what I could do to indulge myself that's really special. My first thought is ALWAYS to spend the whole day reading -- but I always decide it's not practical or too lazy or some such. So then you announce this challenge -- and it happens to hit the only weekend in months when I have no other commitments. Woo-hoo! I am so excited, it's funny! On top of that, my blog was broken and just this morning I finished fixing it.
I did start tonight for a bit, find it at www.embrace-enjoylearning.blogspot.com
I still can't find Mr. Linky! WTF? But here's a link to my starting post.
http://bunnyplanet.blogspot.com/2009/06/on-my-mark-get-set.html
I'm going to get started. :D
I have a mountainous pile of books, a charged Ipod, a spouse who's planning on spending the weekend writing anyhow, and a starting post (with a picture of my to-read pile). I think I'm committed now...
Okay! Half way done with The Absolutely True Diary......loving the story and the character. Very hyped up on chocolate and coke. Must keep going.......
I started at 2pm Hawaii Time, so I'm on hour 6. Ready to get back off computer to keep reading! :) Thanks for hosting this fun challenge.
Had to wait until this evening, but I'm going from 12:00AM Saturday to 12:00AM Monday! Let the reading begin! :)

Off to write a brief Challenge Begins post, then to read. Thanks, MR!
I started at 9pm (CET) last night and read for a little over three hours. I have my stacks of books I can't wait to get back to, but I think this year will have to be a practice for me and next year, I will do a better job at clearing the schedule.
I'm excited! This is my first time!
I have begun. 7:48 am Saturday morning.
Signing in! :-) I started reading yesterday, between work, kids, soccer, and everything. :-D It looks like this will be fun -- what a great turn-out.
Wow, that's a lot of people participating. So fun!!!
Oh man, once again I miss out on this...Good luck to everyone. Maybe next year.
I'm going to try. I'm only going to have a few hours (!) to participate this year.
Just finished The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian-I laughed, I cried, I loved this book!
Plan to write full review on my blog. Just made pitcher of ice tea and ready to start new book-The Giver by Lois Lowry.
I updated my blog! check it out! http://shanniblog.blogspot.com/
Oops, didn't check back before I began, so I missed the sign-in. But lo, I have begun! And finished, actually, being in another part of the world where tomorrow comes earlier.
Oops, and I overtiredly didn't include the proper starting post link for Mr Linky. It's here: http://karenhealey.livejournal.com/790629.html
forgot to come back here and say i was starting . . . lol. but i am exactly 24 hours and 3 minutes into the challenge!

http://www.simplynerdy.com/2009/06/and-it-starts-now.html
i suppose being sleep deprived makes you forgetfull. lol
I forgot to link when I started. But I'm 24 hours in.
Wow! As MotherReader’s editor/backup for this event, I’m amazed at the participation levels here! There really are a lot of people participating — more than double last year’s roster — and a lot of enthusiastic people, no less. Congrats to everyone for making such a dedicated effort!
Makes me want to go read a book or two...
I had four and a half hours to read. Sigh.
Oh, whoops, I linked the finishing here and not the starting.
Comes of the lack of sleep I suppose.
I'm going to try! thank you
